Wood working Contest Winner: Plywood Challenge |
- Contest Winner: Plywood Challenge
- Leftover teak = New Jeep folding tailgate table
- My woodworking mentor recently finished his largest project to date, and I'm very proud of it and my very meager "apprentice" contribution (I helped with the wiring and fitting of the fuse box).
- First Post!
- 7' Mosaic Surfboard
- Thought I’d try turning some resin tonight. Oh my the mess! But I normally turn hardwoods so this was weirdly enjoyable !
- First thing I ever made with one hand (hemiplegia/cerebral palsy ). All I needed assistance on was cutting the wood and had to make adaptations to keep the wood from moving. Anyone else have adaptive recommendations and experiences? I would love to build more stuff and sell(maybe)
- After Covid hit, I left my day job and started tradition woodworking. Finished this tool chest this week modeled after the North Bennet Street School tool chest.
- Three drawer tool chest - walnut and maple
- Floor under the sink was rotted, fixed it and built these drawers to make reaching stuff easier.
- First and Second dovetails! Shoutout to Rob Cosman's youtube tutorials
- I got a Delta Rockwell Jointer for free! It was listed as a 6” jointer with “motor not working”. The pulley wasn’t aligned, so moved it over, and it seems to work! I think it’s an 8” 1958 model. 500 pounds and the Harbor Freight cargo rack had me worried, but it held up!
- Spalted maple waterfall!
- My 136 year old router plane cleaning up dados fast and easy!
- My second step stool. Made from a pine 2x4, edge jointed with dado joinery and glued. Sanded down and finished with tung oil and sanded with the tung oil stepwise up to 3000 grit for fun. Furniture levelers added for look.
- My attempt at the Anarchists Workbench.
- Meditation Table with Home Milled Walnut and Scroll Saw Onlays
- Bar for my balcony
- I didnt have a lathe, but I did have a driss press. So I made do!
- Black walnut coffee table with an electric blue epoxy river!
- made my buddy a 40th birthday present. Finally dinished. Handmade dice tray and vault out of alder and faux suede. He's a 19th level vegan or something silly like that.
- Built Alder shelves around my new safe.
- My first dovetail!
- This may not be a big deal for most of you, but I just got my first piece of snakewood after months of searching. All I see is POTENTIAL.
- Handcutting a dovetail each day: numbers 9, and 6, compared to #16
