Wood working Vlad the Builder: Project #6. This was during the free range Vlad season. I had no time to work in the shop with him so there was no input, until he rolled in to the house with a can of grey paint. This was a birthday present for his teacher (Feb. 2019).

Not sure if this sort of project is appreciated here or not. Building from scrap plywood I had on hand. The grain on the sides looks nice enough that I’m considering stain instead of paint.

I make wooden books. This is a solid oak Buttonhole binding. The boards are hinged to two spine pieces that support the sewing of the pages.

Never made anything out of wood in my life, this is my first attempt at a mid-century modern inspired plant stand :) the only power tool I had was a drill, so it was quite the challenge but it works!

Finished my new workbench, Christopher Schwarz's knockdown Nicholson! Couldn't be happier, and can't wait to make use of a real workbench instead of my old monstrosity.

Pallet to Coffee Table. This is my first ‘big’ project, basic second hand knowledge from watching my dad as a kid. Several hours just sanding by hand, chiselling and planing for the first time too. It’s not perfect but my dads proud so that’s enough for me.

Latest project. I really like how stained 2x6s and 2x4s look.
