Wood working Weekly Quick Questions, Wood ID, and Deal or No Deal /r/Woodworking Megathread |
- Weekly Quick Questions, Wood ID, and Deal or No Deal /r/Woodworking Megathread
- I made a squirrel bar
- My progress so on a rose shaped smoking pipe
- Covid Project Number 2: No more rabbits in the garden
- 10ft long black walnut river style table. Green glass, custom steel base. Biggest table I’ve made to date!
- I made a mallet hammer this past week
- Wall Art (from scrap maple, cherry, walnut)
- I just love wood details on vintage synthesizers, but I don’t have any. So I made some for my own stuff!
- Lockdown + Easter weekend sun = DECK!
- The wave stool
- My 4th attempt at Dovetails
- Live Edge Maple Desk With Welded Steel Frame
- Nothing fancy, but wanted to get our basement pantry a bit more organized. Middle sections are for canned goods to feed from top to bottom, keeping the oldest stuff rotating to the front.
- Made a planter box out of redwood fence pickets
- 2 years into woodworking and I find myself really inspired by the design element. Here’s my take on a king size bed. More in the comments. Tanc.
- Krenov Saw Horses. Or maybe the base of a dining table. Ignore the notches on the top of the left one. Those are....um....speed notches. They are 100% for speed, and 0% because I cut something in the wrong place.
- Wife needed a pirate chest for a friend's (cancelled) baby shower. She wanted it to look worn and beat up "like driftwood". Made out of pallet wood. There's a slot in the top for gift cards. Stained with vinegar/steel wool/coffee grounds. Finished with wipe-on poly.
- My first attempt at making a hand plane!
- Built a new Workbench
- My 4th attempt at Mary May's concave Newport shell (this one in black walnut). This is an improvement on my third attempt (which was in willow, and posted here a couple of months ago). In particular the medallion on this one is somewhat better. Unfortunately, I'm tired of carving these things!
- 5x5 pine bookcase for our living room/kids area
- Dresser I just finished, getting ready for upcoming son.
- Just a simple bookshelf for my stepson
- Walnut & cherry shaker style table
- My first real "woodworking" project: Full Van Conversion
