    My step-son wanted to build a skateboard “ledge”. He had grand plans but didn’t know exactly what to do so I had him draw his thoughts out. A few hours and a few new experiences with tools he hadn’t previously used (table saw), he made a ledge.

    Repurposed bowling alley floor as a desktop for our kids. 107yo maple wood floor slab salvaged from demolition job of a recreation hall at an old estate. Used a 1/8” bronze flat bar to band the edges for strength and to hide countersunk holes for thru bolts that go all the way through the slab.
