I very rarely get to see anything I build finished. A rare exception. Stained Alder shaker kitchen.

Shelves I did for my sisters laundry room. Not bad for a dumb welder?

PSA: N95 masks in your shop may be needed by medical workers

    Posted: 19 Mar 2020 03:56 PM PDT

I realized today that I have several "not for medical use" N95 masks in my shop that I haven't (yet) used. Meanwhile, medical professionals are starting to use homemade (non-fitted) masks because they can't get the masks they should use, and ANY protection is better than none.

I contacted my doctor and found out that these masks can be VERY HELPFUL if your area has a shortage.

I don't need to filter out my woodworking dust nearly as much as my doctor needs to avoid COVID-19 right now.

Please check with your local medical professionals to see if they need the masks you might have in your shop! Thanks!!!

Being a temporary stay at home dad is different for me, but I took advantage of my son sleeping this morning and did spring cleaning in my garage shop.

First time buying a scroll saw pattern from Etsy. Trivet made with maple, walnut, and bocote 1/8” pieces, glued to a stained plywood backing.

Took 5X as long and 3X my budget but my first table came out beautiful.

Finally broke down and bought myself a nice compound sliding mitre saw and a finish nailer. Found some simple bird feeder plans online and this was my first project with both of them.

My 7 yr old completed his first woodworking project. A monitor stand.

Finished my first piece of furniture. A couple of stupid mistakes along the way but it works as a TV stand well.

My first box is a success! Lid is a bit of a tight fit, but otherwise I’m satisfied!

On the first day of spring I built a 3 tiered herb garden that I can reach from the kitchen window to get fresh goodies.

First 'order' delivered - hall table for my sister. To say I learned a lot along the way is an understatement. There's a lot I'd do differently, but in the end both me, and more importantly she, absolutely love it! (Btw the drawer fronts are false and instead the entire top hinges up for storage)

First time posting shop! Made everything mobile. Out feed stands at the ready. Nothing like feeling that sweet, sweet flow.
