    I was bored today and learned I lost my awl, so I decided instead of spending $12 for a new one, I’d spend 3 hours making one! I cut the 1/2” steel rod to length, chucked it up in the drill press and filed it to shape. Shaped the handle by hand.

    My Eagle Scout project at a historic cemetery. Made of cedar, took about 20 man hours and cost about $350. The other part of my project was restoring civil war vet headstones and recording their names, then designing and printing a sign with some information and history about them.
