- It's not often I find the time to build things for myself, but here's my Covid Project. Mid-Century Modern Bookcase.
- Woodworker Fail
- Finally finished my wife’s new desk! Made from rough sawn walnut my granddad cut 40 years ago and forgot about in his barn.
- So, i made this little japanese style low dining table out of ash and walnut. It's all glueless and screwless and can be taken apart entirely. :)
- Just a really cool piece of Poplar from a cabinet job I’m working on
- Drove 7 hours through thunderstorms to pick up this excellent Sawstop JSS for $275 (including a second brake cartridge). Today was a good day.
- Making a wooden grill scraper out of some scrap wood oak (I think).
- Recently finished these two corner shelf units! Super happy with how they came out, the first of many furniture projects in the house.
- Largest build to date. Full wall bookshelf with base cabinets. Good to finally cross this one off my honey-do list.
- I finished some boxes...only took me 10 years!
- My floating shelf. I made it hallow with a home made mount and covered it with red oak veneer.
- Been having a lot of fun making these anti gravity wine bottle holders! Here are some of my favorites
- A little over a year ago, I built a bench to go in this spot. All I had was a miter saw and a driver. I just took it apart and this is how many fasteners I needed. Grateful for 2 things: how much this site has helped me this past year, and that I reclaimed about a year’s supply of 2” wood screws
- My first project! My wife and I just completed our work bench! We're excited to see what we will create next.
- Pallet Wood Writing Desk
- Succulent Plant stand for my mom
- Bent lamination Windsor starting to take shape! This my first chair and first bent lam project. Quite the adventure.
- Do I regret the bow tie? Yes. Am I going to make another now? Eventually... probably yes
- 10 year old daughter’s project... she really wanted a “nice” shield for playing with her neighborhood friends. All I did to help was cut the shape of the shield with her. I showed her how to use the wood burning iron and away she went (ok I did torch some of the shading, at her direction).
- A table I made with my dad, even though we live three states apart. He cut and milled the walnut from the family farm while I took it and turned it into the finished product.
- Cribbage board I made recently. Made from maple and mahogany.
- Golden hour in the shop was too good to pass up the opportunity for a good photo
- Restored Russian Rifle Crate. 30 hours of work by hand. Doubles as a lovely bench.
- A timber frame sliding barn door featuring Japanese joinery and Greene and Greene stylings. Extremely heavy and overbuilt. RIP to my lower back.
- Resin & Cedar Pilar color changing lamp I made for my daughter’s 9th birthday. No where near perfect, but I hope she likes it.
