- I know it could be better, but... my first big project did pool and deck. Feeling satisfied.
- Coming to life...first time bending and cutting sheet metal.
- Laundry room thing the wife wanted. 3/4” Walnut plywood with a pine frame. Used 1/8th walnut as veneer.

- My new house needed a bench, so I built one
- Afternoon project, a wee bed for the wee kitten
- You don’t need to qualify your work.
- 1/70th done. Only 69 more beams to go before I can start assembly on my pavilion.
- My first beer mug
- Entertainment console I built out of maple plywood.
- Tray: Black Walnut and Spalted Maple
- First halfblinds, and my first project with dovetails, the new bench made the whole process a lot simpler!
- 1st cutting board made with scraps
- My first ever coasters. Walnut and maple
- Didn't want to cough up $150 for a closet organizer so instead I invested probably $200 and the better part of three weekends making my own from plywood and off the shelf hardware. Also learned SketchUp in the process so totally worth it.
- This is my first artistic carving from balsa wood with an xacto knife, sand paper and a small hacksaw from the hobby bench. His name is LeQuack
- First wood allergy
- 24 x 24 Dragonwood end table - Finished with Odie’s Oil and Odie’s Butter.
- Working with a home renovation company has its perks! Stack of old oak that was going to be thrown out. Can't wait to start a project!
- First time homeowner, extended the patio and added stairs for access to the lawn. Pretty proud of myself!
- Going to be an Uncle and this sub inspired me to build a crib. (Red Oak)
- First hand made curve. Slope is slightly off, but it’s a functional piece so I’m calling it good!
- Woodworking Clamp Rack Update!
- Designed and built a bookshelf I'll finish er up nice one day. No nails no glue. Redwood fence boards(shelves) pine 1x10 ends.

You don’t need to qualify your work. Posted: 20 Jul 2020 08:05 PM PDT I'm 100% guilty of this as well. My first post in here I was scared of more accomplished woodworkers nitpicking my work, so I felt the need to point the flaws before anyone else could find them. I still don't feel comfortable using the term woodworker for myself, cause it feels like I'm posing. But after seeing countless posts of absolutely beautiful work with some sort of qualifier I feel the need to say you don't need to do it. You're creating something, you're teaching yourself new skills, you're pushing yourself. I promise to follow my own advice. Skip the qualifier, post your work, be proud! [link] [comments] | ||
