Wood working My first piece of furniture, and I love it. |
- My first piece of furniture, and I love it.
- Replaced the handles of my Leatherman Free T2 with African Blackwood. Turned out 10x better than I thought it would!
- This is my great grandfather's Lufkin no. x46 extension ruler. My great grandfather gave it to my grandfather (who introduced me to woodworking as a kid), who then gave it to me. It has markings all over it from the two of them and I cherish it very much.
- My first post here, I’m a bit nervous, Be gentle. My second kid was just born so I took the free time in my couple weeks off to build a new table from scraps in the garage.
- I had the opportunity to build a shire. The curved roofline, facia and door was a ton of work.
- Small simple cherry and maple box (my first post - more information in comment)
- Just finished this Morris Chair...here are what 40 mortise and tenons look like. (This isn't the finished project but is my favorite pic of it....)
- My work with hand tools
- 96"x42" pine farmhouse table with breadboard ends and bench. Tabletop glue and biscuits only. Breadboard tongue and groove, mortis and tenon. First time with breadboards.
- So it’s a thing I did for my barber. Honest opinions on it would be great. I don’t know why I’m kind of blinded by how it looks.
- Finished my workbench tonight & I love it! Now all I need to do is to decommission the old piece of junk and figure out where I'm going to put everything.
- Interior door (basement) dad made for my house
- 10 years I’ve been hosting Cub Scouts as part of their annual Kub Kar build. Great feeling being able to introduce kids to woodworking in a safe environment.
- Custom toy box for my two year old. I built it between two existing cabinets.
- Made a cake stand today
- Kennel for the doggos.
- Made my first wooden sword. :)
- The bench build had started
- I've recently started making rings. Here is Ebony with a Malachite inlay.
- First posting of a TV stand I built, with no nails or screws except for what the hardware required.
- Olivewood and Ghost Blue Serving Tray
- Learning how to use CNC - first crack at it. Ash, walnut and cherry.
- Made a laundry sorting cabinet for the wife
- Thank you re. Linseed fire

Posted: 23 Jan 2020 07:00 PM PST Everyone on here thank you for potentially saving my family's life and my workshop tonight. Did my first finishing in our downstairs shop, went in the back and did a quick read on here for something else. Chanced on comments about linseed soaked rags combusting, ran back and caught them just as they started to smoke. Lesson learnt. Thank you all - and sorry this might be off topic for the sub.
