• I’ve been getting into woodworking this year. Here’s my first attempt at making furniture: a desk!
• (OC) Newly completed 9ft kitchen table
• Fully hand-made dresser for a client that my dad and I built
• Side work's fun! 10x12' deck for a friend.
• Shim wall art
• For once I made something useful - a small crabby mug coaster.
• 16 years ago, my stepfather and I began a new hobby. We collected various antique postal doors (1800's-1950's) and restored them. We then create a box for them to make a new purpose for the doors. More information in the comments, including a local news interview.
• Custom bedroom made for a client
• My latest commission piece.
• Scrapped this together to always remind me of some decisions I’m not proud of.
• Carving of an Ibis skull (to scale) I did for a Christmas gift. Made from walnut. *and it’s my first try at carving.
• It doesn’t always have to be fancy or elaborate as long as it does its job. Got tired of my daughter launching her high chair backwards from the table at dinner time. Problem solved. (She’s not happy about it ��)
• I used a combination of hand carving with live edge for the shank on this Upright Brandy smoking pipe. (Swipe for additional process and completed pics)
• A coffee table made with sapele wood, (loose) lap joints, and a boat load of glue. Mistakes were made, but I like her!
• My first large project. Crib for my granddaughter
• First project, happy with how it turned out.
• Nothing fancy but had a good time with my dad making our first table
• First time trying to carve. Walnut spoon.
• Wife wanted a big ole cutting board, wife gets a big ole cutting board. Maple, walnut, and Purple Heart
• Having alot of fun making these. The flaws are obvious, but I'm improving with each pipe and loving the learning process!
• Some woodworking lingo. I remember my first trip to a real lumberyard and some of this I didn’t know so I thought I would post in the hopes that it might help one or two people.
• This is me, making a workbench for my woodworking classes!
