Wanted a better desk for working from home. This was by far the hardest thing I’ve made. Inspired by (ripped off?) a mid century design I saw online.

Tried my hand at making a liquor dispenser out of this old log I found. I did NOT plumb it very well on top so it leaked but I think I can dial that in on my next one.

Probably not everyone’s cup of tea, but really pleased with the juxtaposition of the sharp clean lines of the box, texture in the lid, and flowing curves of the base and handle.

Finished this off tonight. A live edge Ash bench with Robin egg blue hairpins. I know live edge and hairpins have been done to death, but this is a wedding gift for some friends, so I made what they wanted. In case anyone is curious, the finish is hand rubbed urethane polished with beeswax.
